FAQ

Where do I get my Whatnot CSV?

Whatnot Seller Hub → Finances → Your Statements and Reports → Weekly Earnings Report. Monthly and annual reports are PDFs without row detail and won’t import.

Can I upload more than one week?

Yes — drag multiple CSVs at once. Duplicates across files are automatically detected and skipped.

A row is wrong. How do I exclude it?

Open the Transactions tab, find the row, and click Hide. Every metric on your dashboard recomputes without it. You can restore it anytime.

What’s an AI insight credit?

Each click of the Regenerate with AI button costs one credit. Free accounts get 1/month, Pro accounts get 30/month. Cached insights (auto-generated on upload) are always free to view.

Is my data private?

Yes. Your individual data is never shared. As a condition of using MARGN.PLUS, bucketed aggregates (no seller ID, no buyer names, no item titles) may be included in anonymized industry trend reports. Nothing traceable to you or your buyers ever leaves our system. See the Privacy Policy for detail.

How do I delete my account?

Account page → Danger Zone → Delete my account. All data (reports, orders, insights) is permanently erased.

What if I uploaded the same CSV twice?

Nothing breaks. MARGN.PLUS deduplicates by order ID before any row hits your dashboard. Uploading the same file again adds zero new transactions. You will see a notice on the upload screen telling you how many rows were skipped as duplicates.

Why does my total not match Whatnot exactly?

A few common reasons: (1) Whatnot's payout statement nets out fees before showing your deposit — MARGN.PLUS shows gross transaction amounts from the CSV, which is a larger number. (2) If you used the Hide button on any transactions, those are excluded from your totals. Check the Transactions tab for a "hidden" filter. (3) If you have not uploaded every week in a date range, gaps in your uploads will produce a lower total.

What if my CSV has columns in a different order?

MARGN.PLUS reads column headers, not column positions. As long as the file came from Whatnot's Weekly Earnings Report export, column order does not matter. If Whatnot changes their column names in a future CSV format, email us and we will push a mapping update within 24 hours.

Can I delete a specific upload?

Not by filename — uploads are merged at the row level, not stored as separate files. If you need to remove a specific set of transactions, go to the Transactions tab, filter by date range, and use the Hide button on any rows you want excluded. Your totals and insights recompute immediately.

Why are my insights the same every time I reload?

Insights are cached and rotate on a 5-minute bucket. Within the same 5-minute window you will see the same set — this keeps API costs manageable so the feature stays included in Pro at the current price. If you need a fresh generation right now, use the Regenerate with AI button (costs one credit).

What Whatnot categories does MARGN.PLUS support?

13 categories: Women's Fashion, Men's Fashion, Sneakers & Streetwear, Luxury & Designer, Beauty, Sports Cards, Pokemon & TCG, Funko Pop, Comics, Toys & Hobbies, Coins & Currency, Vintage, and General. Your primary category is detected automatically from your item titles. You can override it any time from your account profile.

How does the AI know what to focus on?

When you trigger an insights pack, we send Claude a structured summary of your actual numbers for that report period — top buyers by spend, format breakdown (auction vs BIN vs giveaway), AOV by format, your power hour, and fee totals. The prompt instructs Claude to be specific and to cite your actual figures. It does not receive your full transaction list or any identifying data (buyer names, item titles, and state codes are pseudonymized before the request leaves our server).

Is my buyer data shared with anyone?

No. Buyer handles stay in your dashboard and are never shared with other sellers, used in any public feature, or included in any dataset we sell or distribute. The only time buyer data leaves our server is when you generate AI insights, and at that point buyer names are replaced with positional tags (buyer_a, buyer_b, etc.) before the request is sent. Anthropic does not train on API traffic.

What's the difference between Free and Pro?

Free includes 1 CSV upload, 1 AI insights pack, and access to every dashboard view for that single report. Pro ($15/month or $150/year) includes unlimited CSV uploads, 15 AI insights packs per month, all date range filters, and the Schedule C Starter Kit for annual tax prep. Both tiers include share card downloads and CSV dedup.

How do I cancel?

Account page → Subscription → Cancel plan. One click, no confirmation email required, no chat with a retention bot. Your Pro access runs until the end of the billing period you already paid for, then drops to Free. Your uploads and data stay intact.
